  Master Classes

Festival del Golfo
18-27 August 2006
S. Marco di Castellabate (SA) Italy

The FESTIVAL DEL GOLFO Master Classes, organized by the Concert Organization Castello di Belveglio (Italy), are open to citizens of every nationality, students or graduated of conservatory, college or musical schools.
Participants will stay at the Passarelli Foundation of Castellabate (Salerno) in rooms with two, three or four beds (each room is equipped with separate bathroom and telephone). On the grounds of the Foundation, other than tennis, basketball and bowls courts, students will have free use of the swimming pool. A sand beach situated 300 meters from the Foundation overlooks the beautiful Gulf of Salerno. Nearby is the Roman city of Pestum, whose ancient ruins are a major tourist attraction. The best rooms in the Foundation will be reserved for those who apply first. Single rooms are not available.
During the courses, participants will be able to perform solo and in ensemble, and will receive a diploma and a certificate of participation at the end of the course. Class attendance is obligatory, as is participation in the final student concert, if applicable. Apart from courses for individual instruments, students will have the opportunity to attend ensemble classes, which provide a social and artistic stimulus and occasion to amplify one’s repertoire through musical “encounters” of all levels. All students, other than pianists, must bring a music stand!
The fee, which comprises ten days of lesions plus full board and room, must be paid on the first day of the course:
INSTRUMENTAL COURSES                            Euro 500,00
CORSO DI CANTO LIRICO                           Euro 650,00
Family members or non-musical friends accompanying course participants may reserve a place for Euro 460,00 which covers full board and room for the period of the Festival. They will have free admission to all concerts. Reservations for shorter periods will not be accepted.
Lesions begin on the 18th of August and end on the 27th. Full board starts with breakfast on the 18th and ends with dinner on the 27th, but rooms may be occupied between the evening of the 17th and the morning of the 28th.

Applications must arrive on or before April 30, 2006, and must be accompanied by an application fee of Euro 50,00. This fee will not be reimbursed in case the student decides not to participate. If the course is cancelled, the fee will be reimbursed.
